Unbelievable footage from a school in Crete has been released. On the sidewalk in front of their school, students are sitting on benches, holding their books.
At the 2nd Secondary School of Gouves in Crete, the students are sitting below the roof of the school’s yard, to attend the class of their teacher. Depending on the weather conditions, they seek to protect themselves from the sun or from the rain.
The parents are very disappointed, trying very hard to keep their children from demonstrating against these circumstances and continue with their education. But they add, that if a solution is not to be found soon, in order for their children to have access to a proper education they will address to the Justice.
The Municipality has equipped the School with containers so that even temporarily a solution can be given for the children, because the images of them taking their classes outside of the school is a shame for public education.
