As most pundits leave all possibilities open for the causes that led to the EgyptAir A-320 plane to go missing, according to website Newsday247, jihadists claim they smuggled a bomb on board and blew it up. The site says the Islamic State (IS) issued a statement claiming responsibility for the disappearance and downing of the plane. The plane was headed from Paris to Cairo, when its signal was lost south of Crete. The site says the Islamic State’s announcement claims the jihadists had planted a bomb in the plane’s interior and set it off. The site has yet to publish the purported announcement.
