Sorrow grips EU after Brexit: Mario Draghi

European Central banker Mario Draghi described the feeling that pervaded the EU following the Brexit as one of sorrow. Draghi declined to make any comments on the result of the UK referendum, during his the opening go the annual conference of the European Central Bank (ECB) at Sintra, Portugal. ‘I am trying to find a word that describes our feelings. Sorrow would possibly be the best word’, he said. The conference is scheduled to end on Wednesday, while the penultimate discussion panel will include the Italian central banker, the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney and the head of the US Federal Reserve, Janet Yellen.
