Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy was punched in the face by a teen who caught him by surprise during an event in Pontevedra. The young man, aged 17, punched him hard and knocked his glasses off.
Rajoy was not hurt said a People’s Party Spokesperson but he later appeared with a deep red mark on his face.
Spanish newspaper, El Mundo, speculated that the attacker, who was arrested by the police, could have been linked to a Galician separatist movement or be a Pontevedra football club fan.
