Terrorist Abaaoud boasted about how easily he passed through Greece

He had planned to hit Jewish targets, schools and the transport system in France

Newsroom November 28 11:51

The mastermind responsible for the deadly attacks in Paris, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, had planned to hit Jewish targets, schools and the transport system in France, according to sources of news agency Reuters.

The same sources close to the investigation said that Abdelhamid Abaaoud also boasted of the ease with which he had entered Europe from Syria via Greece two months before the attacks taking advantage of the confusion caused by the refugee crisis and the EU’s passport-free Schengen system.

According to a witness statement, quoted in the Valeurs Actuelles weekly magazine, Abaaoud revealed his plans to his cousin Hasna Ait Boulahcen two days after the attacks in Paris when he approached her asking her to hind him while he preparing further attacks.

“They would do worse (damage) in districts close to the Jews and would disrupt transport and schools”, the witness said Abaaoud told his cousin.

According to the witness, Abaaoud said to Boulahcen  to give her 5,000 euros so as to buy two suits and two pairs of shoes for him and an unidentified accomplice to “look the part” in a planned attack on Paris’ commercial district La Defense.

The witness statement also described how Abaaoud had boasted about getting into Europe with refugees fleeing Syria’s civil war and then spending two months in France without anyone noticing him prior to the November 13 attacks, as Reuter reports.
