The Cycladic island of Tinos will feature in BBC’s documentary “This is Greece” which will be broadcast in the US, UK and Australia.
The filming took place on 17 and 18 September with the BBC crew visiting some of the island’s major sites and traditional villages including Isternia, Kardiani, Volax and Triantaros and the Temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite in Kionia.
The crew also visited the church of Virgin Mary in Tinos town.
The documentary was directed by Peter Beveridge and was completed with the support of South Aegean Prefecture and the Municipality of Tinos and the help of local volunteers.
