“Trifling” Greece’s bailout cost compared to Ukraine’s, says Etinger

Russia decided today to stop supplying gas to Ukraine

“Trifling” described the cost of Greece’s bailout in comparison with the Ukraine’s needs, the Energy Commissioner Mr. Guenther Etinger, after the supply interruption of Russian gas to Ukraine was announced.
“If we want to help Ukraine, a country of 45 million citizens, then Greece was only “trifling” compared to Ukraine’s situation. It can not be done within the summer period. Billions will be needed thus taxpayers and constituents participation as well as ours and the European Commissions, the U.S., Canada and the International Monetary Fund “, said the Commissioner of Bratislava, Slovakia.

Mr. etinger also warned that:”But if we are not ready to provide assistance, the cost of a civil war and the disintegration of such a large country will be incomparably higher”.
Russia has decided today to stop supplying gas to Ukraine after the failure of negotiations between the two countries to repay the debt of the latter.
