“Just a wrong choice” was the laconic response by close aides to PM Alexis Tsipras, referring to brash Parliament President Zoe Konstantopoulou, hours after the latter launched a full-blown political attack against her now former SYRIZA comrade, and the man who nominated her for the post.

“The Parliament president is behaving like a dictator, she considers that she’s the institutional epicenter of our (democratic) system, whereas she just a wrong choice,” was the “off-the-record” but accurately attributed phrase.

Combined with the “flirt” between Konstantopoulou and the newly formed anti-bailout and far-left Popular Front party, it appears the former and Tsipras’ SYRIZA will part ways.
