Tsipras enjoys a family vay-cay on remote isle

Little-known isle of Ereikoussa is now longer unknown!

Newsroom August 1 05:31

Ereikoussa, a small isle north of Corfu, is where Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras took his family for a family vacation. Apart from leading the crisis-ridden and capital controlled-plagued, Alexis is also a father and the head of a family, and as such, he headed for a holiday on Saturday morning — something that not all citizens can do this season.

Few people even know of the existence of Ereikoussa, one of the three isles off Corfu along with Mathraki and Othoni, in the Ionian Sea. These three isles are considered small (and elite) paradise retreats but remain a secret from the hoi polloi.

Tsipras will be on the island for just a few days. He has asked (the one or two) local authorities to refrain from offering him police protection. All he wants is to live a few days far from the euro crisis, specter of Grexit, recession, Athens’ heat and even the extreme leftists in his own party calling for his … head on a platter.
