Greek PM Alexis Tsipras said a new exciting period of cooperation was dawning between Greece and China, during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, at the Great Hall of the People, Tuesday. Addressing the Chinese President, Tsipras said that in complex and difficult times for the global economy and introversion in the west, China’s ‘One belt, One road’ vision to connect Asia and Europe offered a new prospect for global peace and growth. On his part, Xi Jinping underlined that after the Piraeus deal with Greece, the countries would further strengthen relations on a new level. The Chinese President expressed his admiration at Tsipras’s commitment to substantially promote Greco-Sino relations.
