President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkish forces will not stop bombing Kurdish fighters in Syria adding that US should decide on whether it wants to support Turkey or Kurdish insurgents.

The rapid of advance of Syrian Kurdish fighters supported by US, who are taking advantage of the air strikes in the area to seize territory close to the Turkish border, has infuriated Ankara, which describes the insurgents as a terrorist organization. Turkey has been shelling Kurdish positions for days.

Mr. Erdogan also said that ignoring the link between Syrian Kurds and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was a “hostile act”.
