TV licensing procedures are weak, says ND spokesperson

ND will open market up if it takes office, he says

Major opposition party New Democracy (ND) spokesperson, George Koumoutsakos said the framework set up by the government for the auctioning off of TV broadcasting licenses was shaky. Speaking to Skai TV Koumoutsakos justified his claim on the fact that the Council of State (CoS) had yet to issue an official ruling on the abolition of the National Radio Television Commission. Koumoutsakos stressed that his party would not revoke the licenses when it came to power, but would open up the market the competition in the market and establish free market rules. He asserted that there was a strong sense that the media was being manipulated.
