Unbelievable 1,251% increase in illegal immigrants entering Greece! (infographic)

Majority from Syria come in from Turkey

During the first 7 months of 2015 the number of illegal immigrants that have entered Greece is up five times compared to the respective period in 2014, according to statistics by the Greek police.

More specifically, 156,762 illegal immigrants have landed on Greek soil between January and July 2015, compared to 32,070 in 2014. That is an incredible 1,251% increase! Greek port and land authorities have arrested 727 individuals for human trafficking in 2015 compared to 637 in 2014. The data revealed that over 126,000 entered Greece through the Turkish-Greek sea borders, in comparison to 8,738 last year.
