Venizelos, Papandreou, and their mutual destruction

For the first time in 92 years, a Papandreou will not be in Greece parliament

Newsroom January 26 10:23

Neither PASOK nor KIDISO (To Kinima), the latter being George Papandreou’s new party, could be considered winners in these elections. The former barely entered parliament, the latter goes home.

It is a historic moment that, for the first time in 92 years, the “Papandreou” name will not be in Parliament.

The anger towards George Papandreou by PASOK was shown when the party’s offices were voided of G. Papandreou pictures on the wall, just today. PASOK president Evangelos Venizelos stated that his party achieved a small and unsatisfactory percentage, considering it a dramatic failure, which he attributes to George Papandreou. He also blamed the former PM for the fact that Golden Dawn now sits comfortably in third place. On its part, KIDISO’s press room stated that PASOK and Mr. Venizelos should not be talking, when the scandal of Mr. Baltakos -among others- still hangs over their name.
