The Civil Defence alarm sirens will be activated on Wednesday, October 5 throughout the whole country as part of the ‘Parmenion 2016’ military exercise. Citizens all over Greece will hear sirens go off at approximately 11 am in the morning on Wednesday, at low and high frequencies in a simulation of an enemy air raid for 60 seconds, followed by an uninterrupted siren of high frequency for another minute starting at 11.05 am.
