What are the most dangerous jobs in the world? (video)

One is in high tech

Newsroom September 9 12:38

Let’s be honest, most of us would prefer to not work a day or night job. We would probably like to lounge and relax without a care in the world and just enjoy the good things in life. But, that’s not how the world works, unfortunately, as those bills have to be paid somehow. The nature of work someone does might depend on a number of factors, including talent, environment, family or education or even preference. Some love the excitement of the outdoors while others prefer the dull repetitive tasks of office work. Here is a quick list of some of the most dangerous jobs out there.

Underground welders

There is the risk of decompression sickness, shock, explosions, and wear and tear on dental fillings. Annually, out of 200 workers, about 30 lose their lives on the job. You can bet that the benefits for the grieving families should be decent.

Crab fisherman

Causes of death includes being thrown overboard, drowning, and hyperthermia. If you have ever seen any of the reality shows with fishing, boating, and more, then these statistics aren’t a huge shock. In 2007 128 workers died.

Bull Rider

Risks include getting crushed to death, stabbed by a bull’s horn, and other physical injuries. A rider leaves with significant injures every 15 rides.

Prostitutes

The job comes with a number of risks including but not limited to, getting arrested, involved in drug use, exposure to STD’s and other diseases, plus the risk of getting beaten or killed.

Microchip manufacturers

It might seem like an add choice on the list, but once you consider the deadly chemicals they are exposed to in making chips you might want to rethink. Studies have shown these exposures have severe long term effects.
