Brazilians may still be crying over the shame they suffered in the match versus Germany, but even after the seven goals they received from Germany in the World Cup semifinal, the Brazilian women seem to be “scoring”.
Brazil is the fifth most populous country in the world, something that is pretty much known. What few know, however, is that the whole population is far from being characterized by a balance of 50-50 between women and men percentages, since woman outnumber men by at least four million!
According to the Associated Press news agency, women in Brazil are having a great time during the World Cup with men who are visiting Brazil to watch the games. Some of the female population consider this a “golden” opportunity to meet their other half.
22 year-old Renata de Mouro speaks of the “gringos”, as men of other nationalities are characterized in Brazil, and explains that she travelled with her friends to Rio by bus to get to know the men who have flooded the city, for the World Cup.
In various celebrations and festivals organized in Brazil during the World Cup, women meet with foreign fans, whom they characterize as generous and polite and not as “wild” as Brazilians. The hot Brazilian females teach the “gringos” samba and seem to be enjoying their time together.
However, some men who have traveled to the country for the World Cup declare to be wary of Brazilian females. 33 year-old Matthew Coelo, who traveled from San Fransisco to Brazil to attend the World Cup says that Brazilian woman believe that foreigners have to pay for the dinner bill, while in his country a woman shares in the expenses. He believes that Brazilians are looking for wealthy men among fans of the World Cup.
According to the Press, however, there have been complaints by Brazilian females who claim they have been harassed by foreign fans. Specifically, newspaper “Estado de Minas” says that many women from the country denounce English supporters for sexual harassment on June 24, in the match between Britain and Costa Rica in Belo Horizonte.
The newspaper reported that, maybe there are times that these are “misunderstandings” since Brazilian women have the reputation of being sexy, like supermodel Gisele Bundchen and other famous models originating from their country!
