In a proclamation which marks SYRIZA’s dedication in a strategy of rifts and clashes with the logic of memoranda and the Troika’s recipes, Alexis Tsipras sends a clear message to everyone on the real stakes of the elections.

The euro-proclamation of SYRIZA, with which it clarifies fully that a leftist government would negotiate from scratch and will not hesitate to collide with lenders, even resulting to defaulting, not afraid of blackmail on exiting the euro, is a clear opening towards the growing euroscepticism movement of Greek society and, as popularized by SYRIZA, a strict message towards the governing system in the country, which is exploiting the memorandum to strengthen its position.

This last message to strong business and economic factors are likely the result of SYRIZA’s assessment that they will find no ally within the system, given, as they say, that everyone is giving their change to Samaras’ government.

“We have no illusions, let them nourish no expectations that SYRIZA will settle as Mr. Samaras did when he turned in favor of the memorandum”.
