The Hellenic Dance Company stood up to the challenge and delivered an admirable and passionate performance of timeless “Panorama”. The New York Times, in an article dedicated to the show, stated that: “The loud applause for ‘Panorama’ was to hail its 35 young dancers, who, in three main groups, jumped, flexed and tilted with impressive choral force”.

Martha Graham’s ‘Panorama’ was created by the choreographer in 1935, at a time when the oppression of minorities , the Great Depression and the rise of fascism were the main topics of concern for free creative spirits. Formed in this context, ‘Panorama’ aspired to express the power of man to change things. This work is still relevant and significant for the modern world.

The Greek National School of Dance, despite experiencing one of the most difficult periods in its history, continues to deliver excellent performances and to collect distinctions both in Greece and abroad, proving that its love for art and high level dancing remain intact despite the adversities faced by the dancers.
