Even before the tourist season officially starts, the optimism for this summer is peaking, since predictions of tourism operators are slowly being confirmed.

In April, total arrivals reached 675,708 people, a number increased by 38.4% compared to the same month last year.

The country has already begun welcoming tourists since last month – increased in number compared to last year- and this summer is expected to be the best in recent years.

Eleftherios Venizelos airport saw 253.000 travelers arriving, up 45% compared with the same month of 2013, when their number had not exceeded 174.527.

In Thessaloniki, there is an increase since, according to “Macedonia” airport, 116.532 passengers arrived compared to last April’s 86.019. The increase itself reaches 35.5%.
