The great percentage of abstention seems to be another factor that parties should evaluate during the second round of elections.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Interior, with 12.3% of votes being integrated at the regional level, abstention seems to exceed 40 % as only 59.55% of citizens voted.

The percentage of abstention in the first round of local elections was the same in 2010 elections reaching 39.12%.
