All options are open regarding the reshuffle as far as the time and the new persons that will constitute the new government scheme.
As long as Mr. Antonis Samaras holds off to make and announce his decisions, government presents symptoms of paralysis. Ministers are calling reporters and colleagues trying to find out whether they stay or leave and argue in favor of their stay.
There are three scenarios so far:
-The prevailing scenario is that this morning Mr. Samaras and his colleagues will start calling the ministers and MPs so that tomorrow and before the departure of President of the Hellenic Republic for his scheduled trip the new government scheme would be appointed. The main argument in favor of this scenario is that the sooner the reshuffling is complete the sooner the government will start working.
-The second scenario which has many chances to come true is that the reshuffle will take place at the end of next weekend since, as the government spokesman stated, many preparations should be done first and also there are some complications mainly regarding the Ministry of Finance.
-There is also an extreme scenario that is more unlikely to happen based on which the reshuffle will be completed later on as it was originally planned by the Prime Minister.
Samaras, however, after yesterday’s meeting with the Executive Secretariat refused to say anything on this matter. With humor he dodged the reporters’ questions by saying that “the reshuffle is the privilege of the Prime Minister,”.
However, it is still unknown when the reshuffle will be announced, while all parties confirm that it will take place on one of the following days.
