According to the newspaper, the fact that Mykonos is preferred by the international jet set, has protected, to some extent, the island from the Greek financial crisis.
In that context, the New York Times did a tribute to a five bedroom villa with views of the beaches of Lia and Kalafatis, at Mykonos, and is for sale in the price of 3.97 million dollars
The prices seem to be lower than they use to be back in 2008,but the transactions have never really stopped. In our days, a wave of new buyers from the Middle East will help to compensate for the absence of the Greek buyers
As mentioned to the New York Times, the director of the office of Beauchamp Estates at Mykonos, Mrs. Roy Deldimou , the beachfront villas with stunning views of the Southeast coast of the island are still selling for over 5 million dollars.
For smaller budgets the ones that are interested to buy ,can find smaller villas on the west coast, with less views, or properties in the north or south side of the island for, 2.5 to 5 million dollars.
