Thanassis Polykandriotis, the Greek skilful bouzouki player will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday, June 20 for a concert. The concert earnings will be given to the “Richard Cock’s Johannesburg Festival Orchestra” to offer a scholarship to a bouzouki musician of Greek origin.
On the occasion of 20 years of democracy in South Africa, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the performance of Thanassis Polykandriotis in collaboration with “Richard Cock’s Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and students of the SAHETI School.
During his visit in Johannesburg, Thanassis Polykandriotis will conduct workshops in SAHETI School for students combining all these creative efforts in a joint presentation at the 2nd part of the symphonic concert on June 20, 2014 in Linder auditorium.
Earlier, on June 10, Thanassis Polykandriotis and “The Next” will give a concert at the Athens Conservatory performing works of Hatzidakis, Theodorakis, Zabetas and Polycandriotis.
