The 25-year old daughter of Russian tycoon Dimitry Rimpolovlef, gave her first interview to Lefkadapress about her furure plans as well as the philanthropic work that she wants to offer to the island.
Earlier on the day, Miss Katia Rimpolovleva had visited the Centre for Creative Activity for children with disabilities in Lefkada. She wanted to be informed of the centers action and requested instead of gifts for her birthday, money to be given for purposes that are primarily focusing to children.

At her visit her main concern was to meet the children and to learn more about the Centre and its people. See appeared with a fresh smile, very gentle to everyone, no escorts and with no makeup.
She stated that she is aware of the economic situation in Greece and that is very important  to remember those who are less fortunate.

She was very touched and thrilled when she was offered a painting by the children.
As a Psychology Harvard graduate she wants to do something with the psychology of children, she mentioned at the end of her meeting at the Center.
Then she talked about Scorpios, its natural beauty and its history. She added,” Obviously I want to keep it as it is. I understand the deep relationship between the island and the Onassis family. The story of this family and the history of the island will always be intertwined with each other and what we do here will be done with full respect and appreciation to them”.

Further, she spoke of her plans to further develop the infrastructure of the island using modern, environmentally friendly technologies. To renovate and restore what is needed. The main change will be the construction of stables for her horses.

Finally the 25-year old  expressed that: “”The more time I spend in Scorpio the more I fall in love with the island. The area and the people are amazing. I think that Scorpios and the whole area of Lefkada has the most beautiful sites I’ve visited in the world. So i definitely enjoy every day I spend here and I feel lucky that I can do this. The people here are really wonderful. From the first day the locals made us feel right at home. Everyone is very welcoming and warm”.
