Australia – Netherlands 2-3, in an exciting match

A great match between two mismatched teams

Newsroom June 18 08:23

A great run by Robben opened the score for the Oranje with 0-1.

It was, however, quickly followed by a fantastic goal by Australian superstar Cahill, who, on the move, vaulted and hit the ball with his left foot, with it ending up in the net after a bounce off the horizontal post.

Mile Jedinak gave the lead to Australia with a well-shot penalty at the 54th minute.

The goal rain continued, with Robin van Persie equalizing only 4 minutes later, and Memphis Depay (who was a substitution) gave the lead to the Netherlands team.

It was a fast paced match with many chances from both teams, but the Oranje managed to come ahead. Australia put up a good fight but is now in a very bad position, after two losses.
