More than 1,200 “hot files” of wealthy taxpayers which are in progress and nearly completed, will find in her office the new State Revenue General Secretary Mrs Katerina Savvaidis. By the end of May 202 audits took place and by now have reached to 340, according to information from the GGDE .

These checks are the only ones who are really paying revenue to the State. The confirmed taxes and fines of the wealthy taxpayers equates to202 19.4 million euro, meaning that each of them will be asked to pay on average 96,000 euro.
By May 13.6 million were received (or 67,326 euro on average each) ,by foreclosures of accounts and other assets, while 15 cases were sent to the prosecutor.
Although 1202 lawsuits were exerted to businesses and households, they seem unable to pay today’s taxes, since the debts from the past haven’t yet being repaid.
So the old debts of households and businesses decreased by 1.1 billion euro. In more detail from nearly 48 billion euro that was in December, decreased to 36.9 billion in May this year. On the other hand the new debts reached the 5.2 billion in 5months.

Finally if we are to do the math’s, we will see that the total of outstanding debts amounts to 66.4 billion euro.
