Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras attended the party organized at Kastelorizo for the 60th birthday of the businessman and consultant of US president Obama, Andrew Liberis.

The Prime Minister met more than 100 businessmen from America, Australia and Italy who attended also the event.

According to information, they talked about investments that can take place in a short time.

Most businessmen agreed that Greece moves on the right direction and pointed out that in order to enhance investments in Greece, tax issues should be addressed as soon as possibly.

“In 2009 the then Prime Minister Giorgos Papandreou chose Kastelorizo to announce Greece’s entry in memorandum phase. Today, after five years, the Prime Minister Antonis Samaras visited us and told us that Greece will emerge from memorandum through development projects and investments” said mayor Giorgos Achladiotis to protothema.gr.

The mayor of Kastelorizo awarded honorary plaque to Mr. Samaras for his active interest in the problems of the island.
