FIFA: See the top players of the World Cup

The defender of Greek national team Socrates Papastathopoulos is ranked 41st in overall ranking and 18th in defender category, whereas Manolas is ranked 63rd and 25th respectively

FIFA, International Football Association, uses the “Castrol EDGE Index” system which detects all the statistics of a player’s performance and calculates the impact of their overall performance on their teams, using the latest technology.

According to “Castrol EDGE Index “, Socrates Papastathopoulos is ranked 41st in overall ranking and 18th in defender category, while Kostas Manolas is ranked 63rd and 25th respectively.

Giorgos Samaras came 79th, followed by Vassilis Torosidis who is ranked 80th, Giorgos Karagounis 105th, Jose Cholevas 119th, Yannis Maniatis 141st, Lazarus Christodoulopoulos 220th, Andreas Samaris 225th, Dimitris Salpigidis 266th, Kostas Katsouranis 273rd, Orestis Karnezis 320th, Kostas Mitroglou 339th, Fanis Gekas 346th, Panagiotis Kone 361st, Panagiotis Glykos 408th and Yannis Fetfatzidis 457th.
