The Minister for Infrastructure Mr. Michalis Chryssochoidis accused SYRIZA of “defending democracy of the contractors intentionally or unintentionally” while answering to the critical announcement of Koumoundourou, in regard of yesterday’s vote on the amendment in the Parliament, which abolishes the contractive degrees.
As Mr. Chryssochoidis mentions, the large companies have always had the ability to take on small projects through smaller schemes or companies to the extent that interested them. As a result of yesterday, this possibility now exists.
“Those who rush to denounce obviously do not understand,” says the minister, adding that : “This is a structural change in the market structure of public works, the consequences of which ban only be encouraging for the economy, the companies, the competition and the public interest .
