An Israeli sniper proudly declared on Instagram that he succeeded in killing 13 children in Gaza in one day. He even had a photograph taken with his weapon in a prone position.

The shooter is called David D. Ovadia and he staged a photograph, posting it up on a Palestinian’s account, without specifying -however- if he indeed killed the children with the weapon pictured therein.

Reports suggest that the weapon in the photo, a Barrett .50cal is a weapon given to the best shooters in active combat in Israel and Ovadia’s move was just meant to intimidate Palestinians.

There is, however, a different side to the coin, since some believe the Instagram account to be fake.

International media, including the International Business Times stated that it was not possible to confirm whether this account belongs to an Israeli sniper or not.

They noted, however, that after the post, dozens of criticisms and outcry posts were posted against Ovadia, which turned his account private (i.e. it was not accessible to all Instagram users).

The image of the Israeli man even contained words such as: “Stop running, you will die anyway”.
