Unbelievable video: People push a train to help free a trapped man

Mind the gap: Passengers at a railway station in Perth joined forces to help free a man whose leg was trapped between the train and platform

Newsroom August 6 01:44

The passengers and the staff at a railway station in Perth, Australia joined forces to rescue a man whose leg got trapped in the gap between the train and the platform, when he attempted hastily to board the train at 8.50 am on Wednesday.

The train weighs about 10,000 tonnes, but this did not stop the passengers and the staff of the railway station to try and tilt it in order to free the wedged leg of the man.

Their effort was successful and David Hynes, the spokesman of the railway station, told the television network ABC that although an ambulance was called, the unlucky passenger did not need to be taken to hospital.
