The 35th annual Greekfest will take place at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The festival will offer several tastes of Greece for attendees to enjoy, including roasted lamb, gyros, souvlaki, pastichio, spanakopita, saganaki and Greek salad, pizza and pastries.
“The core group of parishioners that drive the festival, they’re just so proud of their culture, and they just have so much joy to share that with others,” said Lori Liakonis, Greekfest spokesperson.
There will also be a marketplace featuring imported costume jewelry, gifts, art, a bookstore, Greek wines, coffee, frappes and a Greek pastry sale.
