The President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias met the Prime Minister of Portugal Pedro Passos Coelho on Tuesday morning at the Presidential Mansion.
The main topic of their discussion was the crisis and the people affected. Mr. Papoulias noted that: “The socio-economic crisis brought us much closer and requires us to form a common policy so as to deal with it. Our people are suffering and they have now zero tolerance, at least the Greek people”.
Mr. Pedro Passos Coelho replied by saying: “The people of Greece, Portugal, Ireland and Spain have made many sacrifices to overcome this economic crisis. I am sure that, like Spain, Ireland and Portugal, Greece will be able to complete the most difficult part of this project, in order to find her way towards economic growth, which will surely come”.
Mr. Pedro Passos Coelho will meet later Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
