The Greek national junior women’s team in water polo won gold on Sunday becoming European championships again. They beat Italy 7-6 in the finals of the European Junior Water Polo Championship in Ostia, Italy.

The girls took the lead from the start.

Coaches Giorgos Morfesis and Stefanos Leandros helped the girls cruise their way to victory.

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras congratulated the girls. “You have made us proud,” he said.
