Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Tuesday, September 23, it was announced today by the German Government.

More specifically, Deputy government spokesperson Christiane Wirtz stated that the Greek Prime minister will visit Berlin in order to discuss with the German Chancellor the latest developments in Greek economy and the progress of the Greek program.

The spokesperson’s statements were followed by an official announcement of Germany’s Federal Government which confirmed the visit. The meeting will take place at 12:30 (Germany’s time) and will be followed by a press conference.
