Monument marks the spot where rapper Pavlos Fyssas was murdered a year ago

The brutal murder was followed by antifascist demonstrations and revelations about the far right party's criminal activity.

Newsroom September 18 04:39

A year has passed since Pavlos Fyssas, a Greek anti-fascist rapper, was murdered by a member of the far right Golden Dawn party on the 18th of September 2013 in Athens.

The brutal murder shocked the Greek public and was followed by antifascist demonstrations and revelations about the far right party’s criminal activity.

To mark the first-year anniversary since this clearly politically-motivated crime, a series of events will take place on Thursday in Athens and other Greek cities, by antifascist groups and other organizations.
