Archbishop arrested on child molestation charges for the first time in the Vatican

Permission to perform liturgy had been already revoked as from June - A trial was already in its process by personal order of Pope Francis

Tuesday afternoon the Polish archbishop Joseph Vesoloski was arrested on the accusation of pedophile, while he was within the  Vatican State. It is the first time that the Catholic church proceeds to the arrest of a priest.

According to the Holly See, the 66 year old Joseph Vesoloski is responsible of minors sexual abuse in the Dominican Republic, where up to a year ago exercised the duty of  a diplomatic agent of the Vatican. There is a vital testimony and various important information given by one of his closest partners.

The Italian media speak of incriminating evidence from the archbishops homeland in Poland, with the authorities over there requesting of the Vatican to give the green light for the extradition of the former Nuncio in Warsaw.

In June the 66 year old Vesoloski lost the right to perform from the Senior Church Council. At the same time after the personal intervention of Pope Francis a trial began.

The verdict was a conviction. According to the latest information today, Joseph Vesoloski was called at the Holly See where he was arrested.

It is the first time ever, that the Catholic Church proceeds to the arrest of a priest. According to commentators estimates that the above developments are part of the line set by Pope Francis.
