Leonard Cohen was born in Montreal, Canada. He is a unique representative of pop, rock, soul and blues music. His songs, which are mainly ballads, have been influenced by country music and European cabaret music.

He has released thirteen albums and is a prominent artist in the global music industry. His songs and music have influenced many younger musicians. His most famous songs are “I’m your Man”, “Dance Me to the End of Love” and “First We Take Manhattan”.

While being on holiday in Greece, Cohen visited and fell in love with the island of Hydra where he bought a house and decided to move there permanently. The musician lived in Hydra with his partner until the end of ’60s where he spent his time on writing music and poetry. These years determined his course. But, Cohen never forgets his love and he always returns to Hydra to spend some days.

The 80-year-old musician continues his success. He released his new album Popular Problems on September 21 which received raving reviews.
