Obama: We shall do whatever it takes in order to defend our country

US president stressed that " We will not tolerate terrorists that threat human lives to have shelters", while added that the attempts against the Islamic state is a long process

US president Barack Obama made statements in the White House about the progress of the operations, just a few  hours after the first air strikes of the US army against Jihadist’s positions in Syria.

To begin with the President stressed that ” Yesterday, under my command, air strikes began in Syria against Jihadists of the Islamic State and as a result, people today are grateful for this action”. Further he made clear that America will  act within the coalition, as is “already happening”.

Barak Obama also stated that  “We are proud to stand side by side with Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain and Qatar “.

Moreover he highlighted that US plans will continue for the strengthening and training of the Syrian opposition, which has the support of the Congress. ” America is not fighting alone. People and governments of the Middle East reject the Islamic State”, he added.

“More than 40 countries have offered to help in the fight against the Islamic State, so that the funding of the organization and the advance of militants in the surrounding area, come to an end”, said Obama, while for the first time he publicly referred of the Harasan organization which consists former members of Al Qaeda.
