Tourists will be able to visit Amphipolis by seaplanes

The licensing issue of a seaplane "runway" will first be put to the Coast Fund of Amphipolis while in the next few days to its city council

The archaeological finds of great importance will bring seaplanes in Amphipolis. The company Seaplanes Greece SA expressed an interest to create new routes to Amphipoli routes from May.
More specifically the company sent a proposition letter to the mayor Mr. Kostantino Melito, asking for license of approaching the port in order to transport tourists from Athens and other destinations.
The new mayor commented at thousandnews.gr, that “It’s gratifying for Amphipolis”.
When the mayor was asked of how the lives of the Amphipolis residents have changed since the tomb was discovered he replied that: “Nothing obvious has changed, However, the findings will create new circumstance that we will utilize for sure. We all work hard and united and we are interested for the good of our land and our people”.
