Condé Nast Traveller features Delphi among 10 greatest ruins in the world

The area today it’s as scenic as it is sacred, the article says

Newsroom October 3 06:07

An article published on the site of Condé Nast Traveller, the world’s premier travel magazine, presents 10 amazing ruins that are thousands of years old and reveal much about lost and ancient cultures.

The list includes an important Greek archaeological site, Delphi, that is located on the south-western spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis.

“The Greeks considered Delphi the navel of the world, and journeyed there to have Pythia, the priestess of Apollo, predict their future with the help of oracles,” the prestigious magazine writes.

The article also mentions that the area today is as scenic as it is sacred. “The ruins sit on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a picturesque mountain town removed from the hustle and bustle of Athens (but only by two hours)”, Condé Nast Traveller says.
