Fatal crash in west Athens with two dead (photos + videos)

A speeding car crashed into a kiosk on Petrou Ralli Street causing death

A serious accident at Petrou Ralli Street, Peristeri, in West Attica on Tuesday morning had at least twp deaths. The victims are a 10-year-old girl and her 30-year-old mother. An injured man was also rushed to Tzaneio hospital in Piraeus.

Eyewitness accounts state that a Smart car was pinned to a kiosk. The driver was speeding in order to pass a red light and lost control of the car hitting the kiosk where the mother and her child were standing at the time, he then dragged a motorbike with him before crashing into a bus stop and finally crashing into a stationary vehicle.

The Smart car’s driver got out of the car whereas the fire brigade rushed to free the co-driver.

He staggered out of his car onto an angry mob who had witnessed the scene.
