The Brazilian travel magazine Boa Viagem of O Globo newspaper published an article praising the unique beauty and culture of Corfu, the princess of the Ionian Sea.

Cláudia Machado, the editor of the magazine, describes Corfu as a mythical island ready to charm visitors with its green scenery, the beautiful beaches, the impressive architecture and rich history.

“Corfu is the greenest island in Greece” according to the magazine pointing out that it is known as the “Emerald Isle” due to its turquoise and emerald green sea waters.

The editor suggests visitors to explore the old town of Corfu, which is an UNESCO world heritage, and wander around the alleys, neighborhoods, squares, churches and museums so as they can get to know the island.
