According to market estimates, Alpha Bank and Piraeus Bank passed the stress tests with ease.
These estimates of course remains to be confirmed by official announcements on Sunday around 13:00.
Earlier today, a telegram by Reuters stated Alpha Bank has passed the stress tests without any additional capital needs. Further, there are positive estimates of the stress tests for the National Bank and Eurobank, with the first being at a much better position.
Optimism prevails among bankers of the stress tests results. Considering that all parameters have been finalized, the bankers optimism for good and positive results rests on objective evidence.
Today, the banks received the stress tests results, which however are not reportable due to banks committed confidentiality.
Each bank must reply to ECB in writing, stating its planed future actions as well as including comments on the stress tests results. Also, the document must include an overall description of the contents of the announcement that each bank plans to publish on Sunday.
