Over a hundred Peshmerga Iraqi Kurdish warriors, who were recruited to save the Kobane fighting group are expected to arrive in the city by the end of the day.
Hemin Hawrami, a senior official in the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Iraq, Tweeted that peshmerga warriors were flying from Arbil airport in northern Iraq, to Turkey, from where they would travel to Kobane, overland.
At the same time, the Turkish government stated that it is ready to give military aid and training to the “Free Syrian Army” fighters, who are a moderate-core force combating the Assad regime.
Turkish Prime Minister A. Davutoglu announced that Ankara will begin training the aforementioned fighters within the next days, but reiterated that Turkey will not be sending troops to defend Kobane under the current circumstances.
