Poll majority is against early elections in fear that could reverse the current direction of the country.

What is noteworthy is that a significant percentage was of SYRIZA supporters.

The poll was conducted from the company Metrisi on behalf of the Greek newspaper “Elftheros Typos”. 51.6% disagree with the early elections while 39.8% are in favor.  At the same time 23.5% of SYRIZA voters are against to early elections.

According to the poll 54.8% believes that early elections will be a set-back for the country’s course towards exiting from recession, while 54.20% believe that the situation in the country was worse a year ago and 42.90% is confident that it will be better a year from now.

SYRIZA continues to lead with 27.2%, however ND increases to 24.1% which brings the difference to 3.1%. Golden Dawn follows third with 6.4%.

POTAMI 5.5% – KKE 5.4% – PASOK 5.3%

However Samaras comes first in preference for Prime Minister.
