One World Trade Center came to replace the Twin Towers.
With a height of 540 meters, the new WTC is going to give New York an air of optimism and hope, wanting to shelve the dark feelings that September 11 brings to inhabitants.
In this new beginning, publishing giant Condé Nast will be the first “resident” of the building since their new headquarters will be based between the 20th and 44th floor. Thus, more than 3,400 journalists and marketers working for “The New Yorker”, “Vogue” and “Vanity Fair” left Times Square behind and moved to the new building.
According to the Associated Press, the construction of the skyscraper cost 3,9 billion dollars, and now, thirteen years after the terrorist attack which shook the world, One World Trade Center “dominates” the Manhattan sky.
It should be noted that the inauguration of the building was originally planned to take place in 2006 but it was halted due to political division.
