On the occasion of the joint Parliamentary Committee EU – Turkey European Parliament meeting, the Greek MEP of the right party of New Democracy Ms Eliza Vozemberg following her intervention called the Turkish Minister of European Affairs and Head of Turkey’s EU issues Mr. Bozkir to indicate whether the Turkish side intends as a sigh of good will in view of the summit of the Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras with his Turkish counterpart  Ahmet Davutoglu on the 5th of December 2014 in Athens, to withdraw the Turkish seismographic vessel Barbaros from the Cyprus EEZ.

At the same time the Greek MEP also requested the lifting of Turkish directive NAVTEX for further investigations in areas of the Cypriot EEZ, while noted that noting that the continual violations in the Aegean as well as the Turkish provocation has no place in a Europe of values and must finally stop and must respect the principles of international law.
