State funds intended to support new businesses were given to an “adult” website, which invited its members to download hardcore porn, as admitted by Bavarian officials.
The site, which hosted amateur porn videos seems to have been funded with a five-digit amount.
According to Bavarian authorities, its owners had addressed an independent service, Bayern Innovativ, which had been assigned to distribute state help.
The proposal submitted to it concerned the creation of a website which would buy and sell amateur porn movies legally, based on German law, as long as users were over 18.
Officials admitted that the owners of the website won the new business funding on November 2012. The government, they clarified, was not able to interfere with Bayern Innovativ’s decisions, concerning fund recipients.
Bayern Innovativ declined to make any comments when asked on the matter by journalists.
